Gingerbread Party

Grandma, Caroline, and I joined Madison at school for a Gingerbread Party. I had big plans to take lots of pictures and post them, carried my big outdated digital camera into school only to discover my batteries were dead. So I took these pictures when we got home. Oh so many cute moments that I missed. Like the girls "breaking the ice" Caroline thought that was the object of the game. They read stories with Grandma, Decorated cookies, ate cookies, ate pizza, and Madison helped her favorite teacher get soda. It was a fun holiday activity. Now lots of fun for us at home since Miss Mat is out of school for over two weeks!

Clues in Food

Found this to be very interesting! God putting clues in raw food as to what food is good for what part of your body. Click here for more info http://www.sixwise.com/Newsletters/2008/November/7/Raw-Food-Cures-From-God.htm.

Why not - God declared His Word in the stars, why not teach us about healthy food right in the foods.

Holiday Party

I tried.

Attended a Holiday Party for the whole family this weekend. One of my favorite things was Madison so into the live singing. She was in awe of the performances. During one of the songs she clapped through the whole thing. The music stopped during a number and she shouted out, "One more time." Got a good laugh from most of the crowd. The girls loved dancing! It was a memorable night for all of our family. Oh and something else to note for the first time in one year Madison wore shoes other than her crocs! Black dress shoes they have a little heart of them and I told her it was a Carebear heart and that the only way she could attend the party is if she wore them. It worked!

Future Elevator Contractor

The girls love to wear daddy's hats. Caroline couldn't wait to get her hands on his Thyssen-Krupp hard hat. She wore it until she fell asleep in the van.

New glasses

Caroline is still sporting Daddy's work safty glasses while mommy is sporting her new ones.

Fashion at age 1

One of Caroline's favorite things to do is pick out clothes and bring them to me one by one to help her get dressed. This is what she picked out the other morning. Oh and she has her elmo pj top under the mickey mouse t-shirt. She would wear elmo everyday if I didn't hide it from her in the laundry.

In Everything Give Thanks...

you see it plainly as can be
in God's Word, the Bible that
He gave to you and me.

Give thanks, Give thanks, Give thanks.

In everything thing you do
keep looking for the blessings
God intended just for you.

When days are bright and sunny
Or rain clouds fill the sky
We give thanks in everything from
morning until night......

Goes one of my favorite children's songs. I know I am about a month late posting about Thanksgiving, but what can I say I'm still thankful.

We had a great Thanksgiving celebrated it with Jason's parents and all of my family at my parents. The food was so good and having a day to reminded of all we are thankful for is good too.

After dinner I began having the worst pain the only thing I could compare it to was labor. Being almost 3 months pregnant I was a little alarmed. Jason prayed for me and I rested my sisters joined me on my moms bed it was nice to not be alone. The pain went away about a hour later. Relief- until I started spotting. It was only that one time, but I still needed to find out what was going on with that little peanut growing inside of me.

The ultra sound instantly showed a growing vital fetus with a healthy strong heart beat! Oh it was a beautiful sight. The ultra sound also show a tear in my uterus. That was already showing signs of healing. Thank you, God! On the road to recovery! That next week I took it easy. As much bed rest as a mommy with 2 little girls could get. Many days of hanging in our pjs- reading, doing flash cards, watch "Madison's shows." Not cleaning, cooking, or doing laundry. Wow that sounds like vacation! Jason was wonderful as you can see in the pictures he kept up with the house work.

I had another ultra sound today. The tear is still there, but not at all effecting the baby. Which the doctor says is good.

Sisterly Love

Bless and Treat

Daniel and Heather hosted a fun Halloween party at their ranch. Daniel's mom was visiting and treated us all to pizza. My mom made a popcorn cake which was so good! There was a Scarecrow Maze set up outside with prizes for the kids to find. Uncle Daniel treated us to a hayride where we drove to the neighbors to "bless or treat." No tricks around here. Afterwards we went to Jason's parents and Madison helped Papa handout candy. I was trilled to see she was just as excited to give and she was to receive.

This holiday reminded me of something Madison said last year. We were practicing what to say at the door and I asked her, "What do you say when someone gives you candy?" She responded, "More candy!" Not the answer I was looking for and when the pressure was on to shine at the door she came through with lots of thank yous!

My vote is in!

We voted last night at the mall. It was perfect we switched off watching the girls at the play place. When Jason went there were 100 people in line when I went there was 10.

Caroline has been busy! She emptied her entire dresser and got out almost all the stuffed animals in less than 10 minutes. Heather says with Caroline I am getting a glimps of what it is like to have a boy?!!

A girl and her doll

This is Caroline's baby. It was also my baby a gift I received from my grandma atleast 25 years ago it was also well loved by my sister, Jackie. Caroline loves this baby and only wants this baby. She has to have a blanket with the doll and loves to kiss the dolls face and bare bottom?!?

PARTY at Grandmas

My Dad went hunting this past week so my mom decided to through a "just because" party for the grand kids. 6 between the ages of 1-5. She planned it on a Friday night and told the moms and dads to go have fun. We went to TGIFridays. The kids had a blast. M and C wore party dresses and brought the host gifts a picture and flowers. The party was complete with a kid friendly supper, clown cake, games, prizes, balloons and streamers. It was so sweet! She is planning on doing this every year. What great memories with their grandma.

Time with Jason's brother and his family

We enjoyed having Ramsey, Deb, and 10 month old Jacob here over the weekend. The brothers and their Dad hunted antelope in Wyoming. They had a successful hunt came home with 8. So that means the freezer is fuller and jerky is making.
The girls and Jacob played. Loved going to the zoo, watching movies, pushing the 3 kids on swings, hanging out at my sister, Heathers and playgroup.
Jacob is a wonderful little boy. Madison and Caroline enjoyed him. Caroline was always right there giving him his pacifier, blanket, or toy.

Finally back in Blogland

Yes we are still very much alive and happy since I last posted. I guess I just always find so many other things I would rather be doing than posting.

Here are a few things that have been happening with the Callaways....

I am still reflecting on our Labor Day. The 4 of us drove to the top of Pikes Peak. We stopped at a lake to have a picnic and fish. Miss Mat was the cutest she learned how to reel her line in and had a blast doing it over and over. Since Daddy and Madison were busy fishing Caroline and I took off for a hike. It was so peaceful I couldn't help praise God by reciting scripture about His creation. Caroline was also peaceful she fell asleep while riding in the back pack. I hope I never forget this sweet time.

We recently celebrated my Dad's birthday. I wouldn't tell you his age but he just won first place in the 60-64 age group for running a number of races this year. He is amazing! If you want to be inspired physically visit his blog http://www.runninginthesprings.com/ and if you want to be inspired spiritually visit www.truthofgodsword.blogspot.com

The girls and I went to a birthday bash put on by the Jeub family. A kind family with 14 children and one on the way. We were invited by my friend Tisha www.keepingupwiththeJOTSC.blogspot.com It was a great time and full of learning.

For 2 years I have been believing for a play set that belonged to our next door neighbors. Well they gave it to us a couple of weeks ago. You can see it in the above pictures. It is a long story but it is ours now and they and thrilled we are enjoying it. Thanks God for answering my prayer.

Jason has returned to the elevator trade!!!! My specific prayer for his job has been a job in CS (not that easy), working 4 10s, and a job that will last for at least 5 months. God came through beautifully he is working in the Springs, 4 10s, and he signed a contract for 1 year!!! We are blessed.

Caroline playing mommy

Caroline loves to play with baby dolls or pretend Care bears are babies. When you ask her where is your baby she always says nite-nite.

Notice her perfect wrist? She got her cast off a couple of weeks ago. We got to take it off at home. I wanted to post the video, but have not figured out how to do that. While Jason was un-wrapping it she kept saying, "Open!" and "Oh Boy." You can not even tell she ever had a cast on.

Do you know what I want?

Is a question I often ask the girls and they usually respond a hug? or a kiss? Well the other day Madison's response was a baby boy. Then the biggest surprise out of her mouth I asked do you want a baby boy and she said yes! I'm thinking Madison is finally get use to the idea of a baby boy. She has always said no baby boys only baby girls. We had not talked about another baby in a long time.

No, this is not an announcement we are not pg yet. :)

Our Little Miss Mat

When we were first married we had the privilege of being around the Zeilman family. Their 3 children were all under 12. Jason and I always noticed how affectionate they were. Char told us that you have to teach your kids to be affectionate. So that's what we set out to do many years later with our kids. Well we are seeing more and more just how sweet and affectionate our girls are. Tonight Madison went up to Jason and said, "I need and hug and a kiss." After acquiring what she thought was sufficient she began to leave then stopped, turned around, and said, "I need a little more hugs and kisses." She melts our hearts!

First Day of Preschool

According to Madison:
We had a Birthday Party
Mrs. Cook took me to the bathroom 2 times.
The kids say, "I have to go to the bathroom."
We had donuts.
I PLAYED!
I brought a box of Kleenex to my teacher.

According to Mommy:
She walked in like a pro!
Greeted Mrs. Scarbro my name.
We were the first to arrive and Madison greeted the other children.
Told me, "I will miss you, I love you, Bye."
I think since Madison was so comfortable and excited to be at school I did fine I was not sad at all until a little boy came running out of the room crying to his mom.
Madison was so happy to see Jackie, Jenken, and Novalee after school.

According to Mrs. Scarbro:
She did great.

Rainy Days

Here are some pictures that tell what we have been up to during these very rainy days.

The girls were playing fellowship with the care bears.

Enjoying cupcake batter.

Playing "Noah's Ark" on Madison's bed.

Madison is learning about layering to stay warm. She went up to her room and put on 1 shirt over the shirt she was wearing, a dress- pulled all the way up, and a tank top to match the shorts she put on. Hey I'm happy the top layers match.

Madison shows off her crafts to the kitty. Don't worry for those of you who come over for a meal the table gets a good wiping after Proud Heart Climbs up on it.

Pictures of the White Cast

Because it won't stay white for long.

Proud Heart Kitty

Madison loves kittens! What 3 year old doesn't? Jason has been wanting to get her one for awhile me not so much. Until I saw the love she has for Daisy her cousin, Kriesten's kitten. She played with Daisy for 3 straight hours. So I folded! The next day to pick up Proud Heart. Proud Heart Kitty is a Care bear cousin so of course that is the name Madison choose for him! The girls love him. He is a good kitty and is putting up with a lot!
