Shark Blood

After eating corn dogs and ketchup Johnny talked the kids into putting ketchup on their faces for shark blood. They all jumped around on the trampoline after being attached my sharks. All of us moms were thankful the "blood" just washed off.

Roller Skating

For playgroup last week we took the kids to Skate City. This was the first time any of the little kids had ever skated at a rink and the first time for most of us moms to be on skates since the 80s. It did bring back many memories and I think made a few memories for the both the kids and moms.

"May I get my Feet Polished?"

Was the question that prompted this. Madison was so excited to pick out hot pink polish that would be applied for her first pedicure and polishing. As we sat in the massage chairs she kept saying in her quite voice, "I love you mommy, this is so much fun, thank you mommy." It was a treat to treat my girl to this.

7pm to late?

My mom brought Madison home the other night and she walked in and said, "Mom why are you up so late?" What Madison checking up on
me?!@?

Springs Spree and Progressive Dinner

Fun Saturday. Heather and I took the kids to Spring Spree and I think everyone had a blast. Blake would not let me take his picture as his mom would say he was being a stinker.

That evening we enjoyed a progressive dinner with a number of friends. We started at one house for swimming and appetizers, went somewhere else for salad, then to enjoy the main dish, then to our house for hanging out and dessert.

Swimming

Fun in the sun! We did get in the water I just had my hands to full to get any pics.

Ducks, Firefighters, Friends, Shots, and Nana

I'm bummed I did not have my camera for all the fun events yesterday morning, but I still want to record it. We went to one of our favorite parks before Caroline's well baby check this morning. We were feeding the ducks which the girls loved, but something else really got Madison's attention 4 firefighters practicing walking with a hose. She so wanted to go say, "hi to the firefighters." We headed toward the firetruck and I said we may just have to wave. She was determined to say hi. As we got closer the men went to the truck to began winding up the hoses. She boldly said, "Hi firefighters." They all responded and one asked if she would help him with the hose. Then another brought the girls stickers. Very nice men. We thanked them for their service and went on the the playground to meet up with Samantha, Nicole, and Matheo. The kids played and played. Sam and I caught up. Then to the dr where poor Caroline receive shots. The check up went very well up until the shots. She proudly took 4 steps to the doctor. She has been walking since last Thursday. Dr. Sharp let Madison examine Cotton Candy (C. lovey) with the stethoscope then helped her put a band aid on his paw. Very sweet! We love our pediatrician and she loves the girls. On the drive home M. said, "I want to be a firefighter, Doctor, and a race car driver." We greeted Nana at home for our usually Tueday lunch. Another fun summer day.

Father's Day

"Being a Dad means understanding that God has big plans for you..... He choose you to raise His children."
A perfect day! I think the slide show says it all!

Love

"Since love is a choice, we can love at all times. Our choice is not dependent on circumstances: it's not dependent on how other people treat us. We choose- we decide- to manifest the love of God. And because God has equipped us with the love of God, we've got the power to back up that choice. God never asks us to do anything that we don't have the ability to do, and God has given us the power, the ability, to manifest the love of God." Reverend Steve Longley

I want to love bigger.

Don't want to forget ....

This morning after coffee as everyone were going their separate directions. Papa and Grandpa said they were going to Sportsman Warehouse. Madison quickly spoke up, "Can I go?" Papa was happy to take an excited little girl. I made sure she wanted to do that instead of going with her cousins and she assured me she did. While at the store Papa and Grandpa were at the gun counter and Madison came up behind them and hugged their legs. I love times like this. Unplanned events sometimes turn into the most memorable.

Jason was snacking on chips and sharing with Madison. He ate the last one and she said, "That will be okay now we can share my carrot."

Miss Mat has figured me out. Yesterday I was making scrambled eggs for breakfast and she asked, "Please do not put broccoli or carrots in them just eggs." Usually it is cauliflower or spinach I sneak in the eggs.

Caroline almost climbed completely over the railing. Thankfully Aunt Heather was there to keep her from falling over. She is more adventurous than her sister.

Preschool- To go or not to go???

That has been the question around here for about a month. This is how it breaks down..

Jason started getting concerned about Madison's speech. She doesn't pronounce her "S", "F", and "D" well and when speaking in complete sentences all her words run together. So I called our school district for any suggestions. The lady I spoke with said these are pretty normal concerns for a 3.5 year old, but if we wanted she could see a speech therapist. So we did and thankfully we found out she is just fine. She scored in the 86th percentile for comprehension and 79 for speech. We have decided to have her go to preschool the therapist thinks she will excel in her pronunciation being in a class room setting and wanting to keep up with the other kids. She starts Aug. 24 and will go 4 days a week 2.75 hours. This will be a huge adjustment for me and her. I hope we both can handle it.

Happy Birthday Jason!

He is 32 today! The girls and I made Eggs Benedict and turkey bacon for breakfast I also served donuts with sprinkles to be sure the girls really understood it was a very special day. A day to celebrate the life of a very important man! Madison said it best yesterday when Jason took her to work with him. He was bending down working and she kisses his knee and said, "You are wonderful and handsome." I agree! This evening we went out to eat with his parents and had a sweet time! Jason, we are so glad you were born. All of our love, your girls

"Uncle Rammy and Aunt Keb"

Happy Anniversary to Ramsey and Deb!

We love you and miss you daily. We may not speak everyday, but not a day goes by that we don't think of you, pray for you, or play with one of the toys from you. You two are such a solid couple who has so much going for you as one. God uses the marriage relationship as a Tupos, an example of the mystery (Eph. 5) to show how the whole body of Christ is to have one mind, one heart, one stand for truth and we a grateful to look to your lives for this example! Congrads on 7 years. May this one be just as sweet! Love you.

Hiking

We enjoyed a family hike today. It was a short one, but one that was enjoyed my all. We talked with Madison about everything God created. When I asked her to tell me all the things she sees that God created she answered, "tree, bird, and water." We are so thankful to know God's Word and to be able to teach her. Here are some pictures. If you notice she has her little play computer in her left hand while smelling the flowers. She is a city girl who can not go out without it. A couple of weeks ago we went on a picnic in Woodland Park. We went on a walk to a creek I explained to her what a creek was and she asked if I brought money to throw into it. Usually the body of water she sees is the water fountain at the mall. Jason is determined to change her from a city girl.
