Holiday Party

I tried.

Attended a Holiday Party for the whole family this weekend. One of my favorite things was Madison so into the live singing. She was in awe of the performances. During one of the songs she clapped through the whole thing. The music stopped during a number and she shouted out, "One more time." Got a good laugh from most of the crowd. The girls loved dancing! It was a memorable night for all of our family. Oh and something else to note for the first time in one year Madison wore shoes other than her crocs! Black dress shoes they have a little heart of them and I told her it was a Carebear heart and that the only way she could attend the party is if she wore them. It worked!

The girls love to wear daddy's hats. Caroline couldn't wait to get her hands on his Thyssen-Krupp hard hat. She wore it until she fell asleep in the van.

New glasses

Caroline is still sporting Daddy's work safty glasses while mommy is sporting her new ones.

One of Caroline's favorite things to do is pick out clothes and bring them to me one by one to help her get dressed. This is what she picked out the other morning. Oh and she has her elmo pj top under the mickey mouse t-shirt. She would wear elmo everyday if I didn't hide it from her in the laundry.

In Everything Give Thanks...

you see it plainly as can be
in God's Word, the Bible that
He gave to you and me.

Give thanks, Give thanks, Give thanks.

In everything thing you do
keep looking for the blessings
God intended just for you.

When days are bright and sunny
Or rain clouds fill the sky
We give thanks in everything from
morning until night......

Goes one of my favorite children's songs. I know I am about a month late posting about Thanksgiving, but what can I say I'm still thankful.

We had a great Thanksgiving celebrated it with Jason's parents and all of my family at my parents. The food was so good and having a day to reminded of all we are thankful for is good too.

After dinner I began having the worst pain the only thing I could compare it to was labor. Being almost 3 months pregnant I was a little alarmed. Jason prayed for me and I rested my sisters joined me on my moms bed it was nice to not be alone. The pain went away about a hour later. Relief- until I started spotting. It was only that one time, but I still needed to find out what was going on with that little peanut growing inside of me.

The ultra sound instantly showed a growing vital fetus with a healthy strong heart beat! Oh it was a beautiful sight. The ultra sound also show a tear in my uterus. That was already showing signs of healing. Thank you, God! On the road to recovery! That next week I took it easy. As much bed rest as a mommy with 2 little girls could get. Many days of hanging in our pjs- reading, doing flash cards, watch "Madison's shows." Not cleaning, cooking, or doing laundry. Wow that sounds like vacation! Jason was wonderful as you can see in the pictures he kept up with the house work.

I had another ultra sound today. The tear is still there, but not at all effecting the baby. Which the doctor says is good.

Sisterly Love

Bless and Treat

Daniel and Heather hosted a fun Halloween party at their ranch. Daniel's mom was visiting and treated us all to pizza. My mom made a popcorn cake which was so good! There was a Scarecrow Maze set up outside with prizes for the kids to find. Uncle Daniel treated us to a hayride where we drove to the neighbors to "bless or treat." No tricks around here. Afterwards we went to Jason's parents and Madison helped Papa handout candy. I was trilled to see she was just as excited to give and she was to receive.

This holiday reminded me of something Madison said last year. We were practicing what to say at the door and I asked her, "What do you say when someone gives you candy?" She responded, "More candy!" Not the answer I was looking for and when the pressure was on to shine at the door she came through with lots of thank yous!
