Finally back in Blogland

Yes we are still very much alive and happy since I last posted. I guess I just always find so many other things I would rather be doing than posting.

Here are a few things that have been happening with the Callaways....

I am still reflecting on our Labor Day. The 4 of us drove to the top of Pikes Peak. We stopped at a lake to have a picnic and fish. Miss Mat was the cutest she learned how to reel her line in and had a blast doing it over and over. Since Daddy and Madison were busy fishing Caroline and I took off for a hike. It was so peaceful I couldn't help praise God by reciting scripture about His creation. Caroline was also peaceful she fell asleep while riding in the back pack. I hope I never forget this sweet time.

We recently celebrated my Dad's birthday. I wouldn't tell you his age but he just won first place in the 60-64 age group for running a number of races this year. He is amazing! If you want to be inspired physically visit his blog http://www.runninginthesprings.com/ and if you want to be inspired spiritually visit www.truthofgodsword.blogspot.com

The girls and I went to a birthday bash put on by the Jeub family. A kind family with 14 children and one on the way. We were invited by my friend Tisha www.keepingupwiththeJOTSC.blogspot.com It was a great time and full of learning.

For 2 years I have been believing for a play set that belonged to our next door neighbors. Well they gave it to us a couple of weeks ago. You can see it in the above pictures. It is a long story but it is ours now and they and thrilled we are enjoying it. Thanks God for answering my prayer.

Jason has returned to the elevator trade!!!! My specific prayer for his job has been a job in CS (not that easy), working 4 10s, and a job that will last for at least 5 months. God came through beautifully he is working in the Springs, 4 10s, and he signed a contract for 1 year!!! We are blessed.

Caroline playing mommy

Caroline loves to play with baby dolls or pretend Care bears are babies. When you ask her where is your baby she always says nite-nite.

Notice her perfect wrist? She got her cast off a couple of weeks ago. We got to take it off at home. I wanted to post the video, but have not figured out how to do that. While Jason was un-wrapping it she kept saying, "Open!" and "Oh Boy." You can not even tell she ever had a cast on.

Do you know what I want?

Is a question I often ask the girls and they usually respond a hug? or a kiss? Well the other day Madison's response was a baby boy. Then the biggest surprise out of her mouth I asked do you want a baby boy and she said yes! I'm thinking Madison is finally get use to the idea of a baby boy. She has always said no baby boys only baby girls. We had not talked about another baby in a long time.

No, this is not an announcement we are not pg yet. :)

Our Little Miss Mat

When we were first married we had the privilege of being around the Zeilman family. Their 3 children were all under 12. Jason and I always noticed how affectionate they were. Char told us that you have to teach your kids to be affectionate. So that's what we set out to do many years later with our kids. Well we are seeing more and more just how sweet and affectionate our girls are. Tonight Madison went up to Jason and said, "I need and hug and a kiss." After acquiring what she thought was sufficient she began to leave then stopped, turned around, and said, "I need a little more hugs and kisses." She melts our hearts!

First Day of Preschool

According to Madison:
We had a Birthday Party
Mrs. Cook took me to the bathroom 2 times.
The kids say, "I have to go to the bathroom."
We had donuts.
I PLAYED!
I brought a box of Kleenex to my teacher.

According to Mommy:
She walked in like a pro!
Greeted Mrs. Scarbro my name.
We were the first to arrive and Madison greeted the other children.
Told me, "I will miss you, I love you, Bye."
I think since Madison was so comfortable and excited to be at school I did fine I was not sad at all until a little boy came running out of the room crying to his mom.
Madison was so happy to see Jackie, Jenken, and Novalee after school.

According to Mrs. Scarbro:
She did great.

Rainy Days

Here are some pictures that tell what we have been up to during these very rainy days.

The girls were playing fellowship with the care bears.

Enjoying cupcake batter.

Playing "Noah's Ark" on Madison's bed.

Madison is learning about layering to stay warm. She went up to her room and put on 1 shirt over the shirt she was wearing, a dress- pulled all the way up, and a tank top to match the shorts she put on. Hey I'm happy the top layers match.

Madison shows off her crafts to the kitty. Don't worry for those of you who come over for a meal the table gets a good wiping after Proud Heart Climbs up on it.
